Dr Hai Cao, MD - FAAP
Dr Cao entered medicine with the objective of becoming a small town doctor who makes it his priority to spend time with his patients, and develop trusting relationships with their parents and families. This fantastic Brooklyn neighborhood has been the perfect setting to realize these hopes in Dr Cao's last 14 years of practice as a pediatrician in Park Slope.
Dr Cao received his medical degree at Indiana University and completed his pediatric residency at NY Methodist Hospital-New York Presbyterian Cornell. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the section on Foster Care and Adoption.
Dr Melanie Wilson-Taylor, MD - FAAP
Dr. Wilson-Taylor was born and raised in Brooklyn and is thrilled to be a pediatrician in her hometown. She is a strong advocate for community pediatrics and believes that the pediatrician’s role is to provide family-centered care to achieve optimal health for children. As a proud mother of an 8-year old boy and 6-year old girl, being a parent has reinforced that every child is unique and there is more than one way to reach optimal health. Dr. Wilson-Taylor loves to read, spend time with family and is trying her hand at gardening.
Dr. Wilson-Taylor received her medical degree at Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC) in New York and completed her pediatric training and chief residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital – WCMC. As an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at WCMC, she focused on training pediatric residents in primary care, obesity prevention, community pediatrics and cultural competency. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and member of the Academic Pediatrics Association.
Dr. Danis Copenhaver, MD - FAAP
Dr. Danis Copenhaver grew up in small towns in Texas and Arkansas, and spent her young life wanting to emulate the doctors who took care of her and her family. She moved to New York for her medical training and fell in love with the city and pediatric medicine. She is excited to put down roots in Brooklyn with her growing family. She and her husband just had their first child, and becoming a parent has added a depth of knowledge and appreciation to her pediatric practice. She is committed to providing individual, family-centered care and enjoys getting to know each of her patients personally. Dr. Copenhaver is an avid reader. Her latest tow favorite ones are The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt and Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter - beautiful writing and stories!
Dr, Copenhaver received her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College in New York and completed her pediatric training at the New York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital Columbia University Medical Center where she graduated from the community pediatrics track. Her specific interests include dermatology, community pediatrics, and developmental medicine. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

We are located in the South Slope (the southern part of Park Slope), a quiet young area of the Brooklyn slopes, near transportation, shopping, cafes, playgrounds and Prospect Park.
